Here are a few things I work on when I get in bored in class.
I'm a little rusty.
Also, I don't give any of these titles, I can never think of a good title.
Shimmering, Glittering
The moon is reflected perfectly in the lake.
Relaxing in the hammock
Fireworks dancing in the sky
Burning bright,
The fire is perfect for roasting marshmallows.
Summer nights don't get any better than this.
Stuck.
Trying to escape
To get out
To leave
Reaching for your hand
I want your help
I need your help
Please.
I like these pieces, and sort of want titles. The two are so completely different in nearly every regard. Are you reading any poet currently? Your second one is especially provocative, and begs the question from the reader, "Can I help?"
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting.
I haven't read any poetry at all since last year, besides poems on peoples blogs. I'm trying to think of how to title my pieces, but haven't decided on anything yet.
ReplyDeleteYou already know what I said about these, from English on tuesday or whenever we had it(Monday? I don't remember.) Still, I completely agree with Mr J, the question "Can I help?" always comes to mind when I read the second. That being said, I like both a lot, they're well written. I have no idea what you meant when you told me they were bad.
